Question:
Answer: Whatever you do, make sure you got the stinger out. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT allow the stinger to stay in your skin for "days" as another poster stated. The reason bees die after stinging you is because their entire abdomen is removed from their bodies along w/ the stinger. Although the bee is dead, the abdomen continues to pump the poison into your body. You really need to be sure the stinger is gone. You can remove it with a pair of tweezers. If you're nervous, ask a family member to help you. Apply a hydrocortisone cream to the area to help with the swelling and use ice packs as needed. You should be able to visually see the stinger, it will look like a cactus needle, only smaller.
